BMW Group Financial Services UK Launches Third Startup Collaboration Programme

by Startacus Admin

Innovative startups are currently being sought by BMW Group Financial Services UK which has just launched the third instalment of its Innovation Lab, run in collaboration with corporate innovation specialists, L Marks.
Having created the UK’s largest network of corporate accelerators, L Marks is now recognised as a leader in business change.
This year’s lab is building on the successes of the previous two Labs, which saw emerging partnerships with early-stage companies such as Wrisk and Drover and it has now evolved into a new Relay format which enables focus on individual challenges, one at a time, in three back-to-back 10-week programmes.
For this instalment, the focus is on innovative solutions that will positively disrupt the wider automotive finance industry and thereby enhance its customer offering.
Applications are currently open for startups which could help to reimagine product offerings for the retailer, in the category:
Embracing the Next Curve of Individual Premium Mobility
Additionally, BMW Group Financial Services UK will also be searching on an ongoing basis for truly pioneering and transformative ideas as part of the ‘Wildcard’ category.
A new window will open on 6th April 2020 for the following categories:
Fostering a Unified, Customer-Led, Internal Transformation and
Automotive Mobility Data Insights, Analytics & Machine Learning.
The startups that are selected to participate in the Lab will receive dedicated mentorship from BMW’s senior management, a collaborative working environment at the company’s UK Head Office in Farnborough, as well as having the opportunity to test their solutions in live customer environments. In addition to this, the early-stage companies will also be provided with scale up advice from external subject matter experts.
Applications for this fantastic opportunity will close at 23:59 GMT on Sunday, 9th February.
Successful applicants will then be invited to a Pitch Day on 6th March where they can pitch their idea to a BMW senior leadership team. The programme itself will start on 6th April when the 10-week intensive collaboration will begin.
The grand finale will take place on 12 November at the Innovation Summit Demo Day when all startups from each of the three Labs will be brought together. Here, they will demo all that they have achieved during the Lab as well as present their ideas and proposals for future engagement with BMW.

Best of luck to all who apply!
