The London-based EdTech startup that provides digital financial education to help young people develop financial skills for life

blackbullion bannerAs we have written before, finances can be hard to manage. We have written about startups like Cash Coach, which helps users with saving through gamification, but nothing beats simply learning how to manage your finances early on so that it doesn’t become a big, ominous thing that you don’t want to think about. This isn’t something that is taught to any particularly helpful degree in school, yet is of great importance throughout our lives.

So without taking a college course on the subject, how can young people just emerging into the financial world increase their knowledge and financial management skills?

London-based edtech startup Blackbullion is currently supporting over 700,000 students across the UK, Australia, and New Zealand in exactly that. By partnering with universities around the world, Blackbullion has its sights set on helping millions of students by providing digital financial education that develops financial confidence, knowledge, skills, and empowers better decision making. A

s well as giving you access to courses to learn financial skills, Blackbullion helps you to find funding for your education, with university funds, scholarships and bursaries.

In 2019, Blackbullion founder Vivi Friedgut won the British semi-finals of the Global Edtech Startup Awards and went on to represent the UK at the global finals in 2020. A little later in 2020, Blackbullion took the title of Hottest EdTech Startup at The Europas Awards 2020.

Financial education will always be a vital part of life, and is one that continues to be underrepresented in educational institutions, and so a platform like Blackbullion is an equally vital service, and we think we will continue to see their investments and awards accumulate.
