Birdie - the digital solution for home care

by Startacus Admin

Safer home-care thanks to Birdie and their innovative real-time digital solution

Tasks are added by the care manager for each patient and carer, and the carer marks them as completed as they go. Real-time updates mean that you know when the carer has arrived and as they complete these tasks, giving managers a chance to check up on things quickly if something isn’t right. In addition, the carer can update the agency and client files on the spot by filling in incident and accident reports.
“Supporting you to make the right decisions, your care becomes responsive to your client’s needs, predictive to their health issues, enabling you to continuously improve the care you’re offering to your clients.”
The platform is available under 3 flexible packages and features multiple crucial aspects, including task planner, medication schedules and administration tracking, care logs, smart alerting, and home monitoring. For the care manager’s side, Birdie offers 24/7 support, direct training and training materials, and a dedicated account manager, all ensuring that there is no weak link in the chain.
Birdie already has the investment backing of insurance group AXA and its startup studio Kamet, and just this month, GovStart PUBLIC announced that the startup is part of its GovStart 2019 cohort, launched in front of that famous black door at No. 10.
Any startup improving care for older people is worth supporting and keeping an eye on, but one that does so via making carers’ lives easier is doubly so.
We look forward to seeing what Birdie does next with its platform.
