Bike Club - the bike and scooter subscription service for kids

by Startacus Admin
Bike Club is a circular economy startup enabling subscribers to rent out and then exchange their children's bikes as they grow...
With the cost of living on the rise, many families are seeking out new ways to both save money and also ensure that they still make the most of the time they spend together. Add to that the fact that children tend to grow at a pretty fast pace and it’s clear how London-based startup Bike Club is a welcome innovation!
They’ve developed a children’s bike and scooter subscription, which removes the need for families buying and selling bikes every time their child has a growth spurt, and eliminates the collection of unused bikes left lying discarded in the garage, garden or corner of the bedroom!
Bike Club provides a monthly subscription service which enables families to choose a bike and then exchange it when needed, for a new or refurbished bike.
The Bike Club is easy to use and there are a range of categories to choose from: Balance Bikes for 0-4 year olds, First Pedals for 3-6 year olds, Hybrid Bikes for 5-14 year olds and Mountain Bikes for 8-14 year olds. There are also a range of adult bikes available. Simply choose which bike you want and have it delivered to your door. All the bikes provided are suitable for families who want to and will use their bikes long term.
The startup has recently raised £16.75m in a Series B funding round led by Circularity Capital and currently have a network of 40,000 bikes with future plans to grow to 220,000.
Sustainability is at the core of the Bike Club mission - it’s great to see a service like this which is not only helping families, but also helping the planet too.
