BIG IDEAS Startup Pitch Comp finalists announced

The innovative early-stage startups from across the island of Ireland selected to pitch at BIG IDEAS as part of Derry & Strabane Enterprise Week have now been revealed.
Taking place as part of the BIG IDEAS event on 7th March, we’re delighted to announce the fab start-ups that have been shortlisted for the BIG IDEAS pitch competition for early-stage start-ups across the island of Ireland.
Delivered by Startacus and in partnership with Derry City and Strabane District Council, BIG IDEAS is the opening event at this year’s Derry and Strabane Enterprise Week.
The BIG IDEAS pitch competition, which is supported by InterTradeIreland, Raise Ventures and RealTime Recruitment will see start-ups from NI and ROI pitching to an impressive panel of industry experts and investors, namely Kate Fullen, Venture Analyst at Elkstone, Emma Steele, Partner at Ascension, Jenny Ervine, Co-Founder, Raise Ventures, Emily LaRocque, Associate at Landscape VC; Connor Sweeney, Project Manager of the InterTradeIreland Seedcorn Investor Readiness Competition, Ken Valledy, co-founder at Progressive Acceleration and Cathy White, Angel Investor and Founder & Director at CEW Communications, for the opportunity to win a £4000 cash prize.
So, without further ado, the start-ups seeking to impress the judging panel are:
Win It Together - a purpose-built raffle fundraising platform.They are digitising raffle-based fundraisers by providing an all-in-one solution.
inCharge - a Tech For Good start-up, building user-friendly, integrated tech to enable people who draw on social care and support to better manage their own care needs.
Kinva - a global community platform, thoughtfully crafted for therapists and coaches to transform the delivery of lifecare
Phytaphix - Ireland's scientific nutrition product company, based on the research and expertise of their founder, Dr. Conor Kerley. Their initial focus with their first 2 products is on immunity and energy and they won the 2021 World Food Innovation Award.
Informed Minds App - a psycho-educational, one-stop digital health & wellbeing solution
Smile Genius Dental - simplifying starting up and managing cosmetic dentistry services for general dentists. Their mission is to leverage technology and data to enable general dentists to sell these high margin cosmetic treatments easily
ReFunk - a one-stop reCommerce platform marketplace that facilitates donating, refurbishing, upcycling and selling second-hand furniture. Their mission is to make the circular furniture economy a worldwide phenomenon, and enable consumers to conveniently dispose of and purchase pre-loved and upcycled furniture
Emotionise - makes AI software that empowers users to write better content faster. They help users to identify and generate their target audience's concerns, desires and emotions to create memorable content that gets results.
Receipt Relay - a software which integrates directly with EPOS systems, allowing businesses to provide eReceipts to their customers through QR codes, and gain insight into customer demographics and behaviours.
CrewApp - secures the future of the aviation industry by utilising AI to optimise airline crew operations.Their smart rostering layer sits between the legacy software providers, crew operations and crew members, creating more personalised rosters and removing excess cost from the current rostering model.
NetworkFit - making health & fitness accessible. Giving flexibility to both users and fitness owners through unrivalled search-ability, management, scheduling and booking, an all-in-one easy to use platform that embodies the UN SDG #3, making health and fitness accessible for all ages and demographics.
