Betternotstop wants business owners to escape the daily grind

by Startacus Admin
A new group-travel experience, Betternotstop aims to help small business owners escape the daily grind, refocus their efforts and gain control of their business, with business-focused adventures in the choice of fourteen countries.
From remote working, co-working, and working holidays, it is fair to say that employee work options have evolved over the last few years.
The brainchild of Manchester-based Hannah Cox, betternotstop, combines remote working, networking and business support, with adventure and discovery. Betternotstop helps small business owners invest in their most important asset – themselves.
It aims to tackle the shocking figure of 1.5 million UK small business owners who have not taken time off in the last year, who are also struggling with loneliness and anxiety about the success of their business.
Small business owners can now benefit from Hannah’s life-changing experiences by embarking on one of betternotstop’s tailored, business-focused adventures in fourteen countries, including destinations such as Iceland, Vietnam, Jordan and Japan. Trips vary in length from a few days to a few weeks, to ensure there is an option for every type of business owner.
This is a situation Hannah can relate to. After hitting a dead-end she adopted a new approach to life, leaving a badly paid job and high levels of stress to become time rich. Hannah lives and works on her own terms, wherever she wishes.
This new approach has seen her clear £20k of debt, travel to 45 countries and be shortlisted as an Entrepreneur of the Year at the Made in Manchester awards, all while writing, speaking and organizing events under the name ‘betternotstop’ and also working full time in the events industry.
In 2017, Hannah and her partner embarked on an epic backpacking journey from England to Bhutan across 18 countries. This “Road to Happiness” expedition, discovered and documented what made people happy.
While working remotely on this trip Hannah noticed a gap in the travel market, to empower business owners through travel, helping them to destress, relax and refocus for the good of their health and their business.
All trips are for a small-groups of under 20 people, selected as the right fit for the trip, and include accommodation with breakfast included, a dedicated experience manager, access to co-working spaces alongside amazing cultural experiences, adventures and activities.
This is definitely not a “holiday”! All trips are exclusively for business purposes, aimed at helping business owners work in a new way, with newfound freedom. As such it is recognized as an allowable expense against taxable profits with HMRC and tax credits.
And it is so much more than just travel, betternotstop offer a range of business resources, support and benefits to help maximise business success. With so much uncertainty in the UK Market - businesses should be looking overseas for inspiration and opportunity.
