Belron announce £50k investment in video engagement platform providers, Blitzz

by Startacus Admin
Further to our news announcement in July, that Drive, the startup accelerator from Belron had invested in two startups from its latest innovation programme, Belron has announced it will also be investing in a third startup who took part in the programme - Blitzz, an innovative video engagement platform.
Blitzz is a smart, mobile platform that helps you quickly deploy a high-quality video powered service & collaboration app, without any technical development. Their patent pending image and video algorithms offer equipment specific predictive support as well.
Built as a white-label solution for business and free to customers, Blitzz is designed to be customer centric, meaning a customer can reach out to a business HQ / helpdesk team to initiate a powerful interactive multi-way video chat (with very handy AR features) - thus helping to facilitate clear visualisation, description and understanding of equipment and tech issues.
Anything that helps to make the helpdesk / tech support scenario easier, is good in our books and this sounds (and looks) like a real solution. Nice.
Blitzz join Locpin and ThriveMap who have already received investment as part of this year’s Drive with Belron accelerator programme.
Drive is the startup accelerator from Belron, the worldwide leader in vehicle glass repair and replacement with more than ten major brands – including Carglass®, Safelite® AutoGlass and Autoglass® and their innovation programme, run in partnership with innovation specialists L Marks is designed to fast track disruptive young businesses looking for global expansion.
In this second year of the accelerator programme, five tech startups – Blitzz, Locpin, Talking Circles, ThriveMap and ThanksBox - spent 10 weeks working with Belron countries; immersing themselves in Belron business operations and trialling their products. Blitzz was partnered with Safelite® in the US. This latest investment from Belron brings the total startup funding to £278,340 with £175,000 from Belron and £103,340 from innovation partner, L Marks.
Congrats to the team at Blitzz, who include co-founders Keyur Patel and Ramaswamy Sreenivasan, from team Startacus - we look forward to watching out for news on your progress over the next few months.
