Beauty Matching Engine offers AI software to the beauty industry

by Startacus Admin
Beauty Matching Engine™ offers an AI driven personalisation, predictability & optimisation software built specifically for the beauty industry.
Although being bombarded with recommendations when you visit an online shop can be annoying, if those recommendations or well considered and based on what that site has learned about you, and are actually things that you are interested in, it can be helpful and time-saving. Getting this right from the business’s side isn’t always easy, particularly without being too intrusive, so a third party whose product will do this for you can be of great value.
London-based startup Beauty Matching Engine uses machine learning and big data proprietary technology to capture a consumer profile and track all behavioral data of every visitor to your website, and provides personalised recommendations to them based on that profile.
Beauty Matching Engine already works with more than 4,000 brands, 300,000 products, 150 retailers and has given 17.8 million recommendations to date across multiple beauty categories: skincare, haircare, body, fragrance, makeup, hands, and feet.
The startup provides a quick and simple quiz to your site, its length and type dependant on your business, and visitors fill this out to get started.
As the artificial intelligence learns more about the consumer, it will provide them with better recommendations online (including personalised landing pages), in physical shops, and via targeted, personalised emails.
Beauty Matching Engine was named as one of the finalists of 2018’s Retail Week Awards for the category of Customer Innovation. They were the only startup in the Customer Innovation category, up against 9 other multi-million-pound companies. At the 2019 European Data Science & AI Awards, the startup won the Award for Best Customer Experience using AI.
As a platform that benefits both consumer and retailers, we think this is just the start.
