Are you a retail startup looking for rapid growth? Then you’ll be interested in this.
The good folk at IncuBus London are back on the hunt with their IncuBus Retail Class 2 at Camden Market booked in to run from May 16th - August 5th 2016.
After the success of the first programme, IncuBus are once again ready to take on the next cohort of market changing retail startups, ideally tackling Food and Drink, E-commerce, and Fashion verticals. And since retail still prime for Tech disruption - perhaps now is a great time to cash in.
Alumni from IncuBus Retail Class 1 include Clipcrowd and Market Munch who are currently closing funding rounds, so this no equity programme. Although there is a fee charged to attendees, it is a well sought after and high demand incubator.
Incubus was formed back in 2013 when founders Rishi and George bought a double decker bus and transformed it into a mobile startup incubator bus - said bus was purchased with crowdfunded cash. We’re really impressed with the brilliant journey (pardon the pun) which the guys have been on to get to this point. After all, they’re now an integral part of the early stage and seed-stage startup ecosystem in the UK. In fact, we recently had a feature on The IncuBus Future of Work 12 week incubator programme hosted by PwC which aimed to focus on startups in the AI, Cyber Security and IoT solutions space. These guys are to be admired!
Although they still use their bus for roadshows, the Retail Class 2 programme will be run from the brand spanking new co-working space, Interchange Triangle. It’s a space where startups have access to around the clock hot-desking, networking opportunities galore and the opportunity to be part of a growing community of other startups.
With mentors and partners including Google, eBay, Amazon, Deliveroo, Burberry and Nix&Kix it sounds like a great opportunity for any of you retail startups to take advantage of. Not only could you avail of all that expertise and experience, you could perhaps also highlight to them what they have been missing with your own market changing product or service.
As IncuBus co-founder Rishi Chowdhury says, “Retail is a rapidly adopting new technologies to offer consumers a better experience and stay ahead of the competition. We have seen applications as varied as VR, wearable tech and IoT based solutions to distribution, purchasing and logistics. We have been delighted by the quality of startups applying and this is testament to the focus on bringing in the best mentors with experience in the space as well as partnering with world class brands to ensure the startups have the best path to accelerated growth.”
All IncuBus Retail Class 2 applicants will be selected for the programme on a rolling basis, so apply early to increase your chance of being accepted onto this fab Retail Incubator Programme!
