Watch out Santa Clara… Apps World is coming!
After 7 acclaimed years of growth to become the World’s leading multi-platform event within the app ecosystem, in 2016 Apps World is returning to California with its vibrant festival of Learning, Networking, and Fun.
Team Startacus was lucky enough to take part in the last Apps World Europe event in London and were struck by how well it brought together the entire app ecosystem under one roof. From Investors and Big Brands, to Startups, developers, and Manufacturers there was something to inspire, engage, support, and entertain.
With a packed and varied schedule already in place for Apps World North America it promises to be an unmissable event. Best of all, many of the events are free to attend, so tight pursestrings needn't be a problem.
Here’s a brief rundown of what will be happening in Santa Clara on May 11th & 12th 2016!

Speakers
The full list of keynote speakers has yet be announced, but with previous attendees including such giants as Steve Wozniak (Apple), Brent Hoberman (lastminute.com), Biz Stone (Twitter), Tom Tiechman (Spark Ventures) and countless other industry leaders, there will be something to pique your interest.

Startup Zones
As you would expect there will be a major focus on Startups that are using emerging technologies and disruptive solutions, and said startups can get their App in front of the right person, showcase their innovation, connect with their peers, get advice from the experts, and have a great time all the while!
Startups on the hunt specifically for investment, can apply to take part in the Apps World Startup Programme which provides a pitching area where the most successful startup applicants will be given the opportunity to showcase their business in front of a panel of investors.
New Stuff for 2016
This year Apps World has added a few extra features aimed at improving further the level of support that it offers to startups and developers including:
Investment Clinic- This will give attendees the chance to talk to some of the leading investors within the technology and app space and benefit from their wealth of experience on how to secure investments.
Startup Launchpad- Apps World is giving Startups the chance to pitch their product to a panel of leading individuals in the technology space who have been there, done it and got the t-shirt. They will offer crucial advice and the potential opportunity to gain investment to take your business to the next level. Coding Clinic- Experts will be on hand in the Coding Clinic to answer any questions that you have. They will also be delivering hands-on tutorial and demos so don’t forget to bring your laptop!
