Now celebrating its 7th year in existence, the rather appropriately named ‘Apps World’ has grown to become the World's leading multi-platform event within the app industry.
We have been reporting on it since the beginning as an inspiring showcase of technology, and of course this year we will be keeping you up to speed with all the plans!

Apps World ExCeL London
The folks at Apps World are aiming to make this years event at ExCeL London their biggest yet with over 10,000 developers, mobile marketers, mobile operators, device manufacturers, platform owners, and industry professionals expected over the course of the two days. What’s particularly great about Apps World is that many of the events, workshops, and talks taking place are free, so even the boot-strapped amongst you can have a chance to get a piece of the action.
This year Apps World in London will play host to 9 conferences covering some of the fastest growing and most talked-about areas of digital technology, and with over 350 exhibitors it promises to be one of the most comprehensive gatherings of industry talent that has ever been seen.

Droid World- A two-day long exploration and showcase of all things Android, and Android related!

Developer World- A close examination of how the tech community is driving forward the Internet of Things.

Disrupt Arena - The Disrupt arena will be a place for the game changers who have disrupted the digital ecosystem to come and showcase their ideas, and inspire the future generation of app developers.

Enterprise and DevOps World- An in depth discussion of how enterprises must change and evolve to make the most of the DevOps opportunity.

Gaming World- Two days comprising gamers and gaming experts presenting and exploring the up-and-coming apps across multiple platforms.

Coding Clinic- An exploration of the issues faced by developers when coding, including 2 days worth of workshops.

Start Up Launch Pad - Apps World are giving 8 start-ups the chance to pitch their company and product to a panel of leading individuals in the technology space. These experts will offer crucial advice and the potential opportunity to gain investment to take your business to the next level.

Mobile Strategy and Marketing- Examining how mobile technology can become the core of a business marketing strategy.

Mobile Payments and Retail- An in depth look at the future of Mobile Payments within retail, and the opportunities which are being created by contactless payments.

The Speaker Line-Up
As usual the team at Apps World have managed to gather-up an impressive array of speakers from the world of digital technology. They occupy some of the highest positions in the world's most progressive and successful companies, and will be sharing their wealth of industry knowledge over the course of the two-day event.
Some of the speakers already confirmed to take part include; Luke Vinogradov (Head of Digital, McDonalds), Martin Bryant (Editor, The Next Web), Benjamin Tomlinson (Creative Director, Now TV Sky), Caroline Lewko (CEO, WIP), Grant Allen (Principal Architect, Google), Marie Suh (Director of Strategy, Spotify), Shobeir Shobeiri (Director of Business Development, Pebble Technology), Grant Dean (Head of Production, BBC), and Richard Lewis (Head of UX, International Online, Tescos).
Startup Zones
As you would expect from a technology / digital event such as this, there will be a heavy focus on emerging technologies and disruptive solutions. To this end Apps World has created 3 zones specifically designated as spaces for startups to showcase their technologies, connect with their peers, get advice from the experts, and generally have a good time telling anyone who will listen about their big idea!
The Startup Zones will cover 4 of the most burgeoning areas of digital technology; Consumer Wearables, Internet of Things, Innovations, and Indie Gaming.
These areas will provide a free opportunity for startups to make their presence felt during the Apps World event. If you reckon you’ve got what it takes to become one of these exhibitors, you can apply now to be considered on the Apps World website!

Hackathon
This year Apps World is giving innovative Mobile and IoT developers the chance to put their heads together to build some multi-platform apps, with a 2-day hackathon consisting of pure code, networking, food, fun and some really impressive prizes! It will be a fantastic opportunity for talented developers to get together, share, learn, and build something together!
