Aerospace Xelerated and Tawazun Economic Council seek applications from innovative startups that are working in the digital services and solutions area.
Startup working on digital services and solutions? This is for you!
The Aerospace Xelerated programme has opened its call for Cohort 4, for which it is seeking applications from innovative startups with ideas that can solve real-life challenges and also help move the aerospace industry forward.
The previous programmes which were led by Boeing and supported by a range of industry partners, saw participating startups raise over £100M in funding, create over 150 jobs as well as develop partnerships with many leading global organisations.
For Cohort 4, Aerospace Xelerated has partnered with Tawazun Economic Council, the defence and security acquisitions authority of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and is specifically seeking startups that are working in the digital services and solutions area, which could include innovations in any of the following:
- Flight & Passenger Journey Optimization
- Supply Chain Intelligence
- Next Generation Workforce
- Operational Efficiency
In terms of programme eligibility, companies must be mid-late seed-stage and preferably working on software solutions. They should also be at a traction-stage with either proof of concepts (POCs), contracts already in place, revenue and/or letter of intents (LOIs). There is, however, no requirement for startups to be currently operating in the aerospace sector. All companies must also be able to commit a Senior Member of the team for key elements of the programme including sponsor/client meetings, Demo Day and other important events.
Over the course of the 12-week programme, startups will be introduced to a network of angel investors, venture capitalists and key stakeholders in the aerospace industry and will receive mentoring from a global network of experienced entrepreneurs, mentors and investors. Participants will also have access to leading strategists and technical experts from industry that support in developing proof of concept opportunities.
Participating startups will have the option to benefit from a £100K investment from Boeing, as well as the potential to gain additional funding from partners throughout the region. In addition, participants will have access to over £100k in programme perks from a host of partners including startup providers Oracle, Amazon, HubSpot, Digital Ocean and many more.
Interested in applying?
Applications are now open and will close on 2 October 2022, with the programme itself set to run between January - March 2023.
Best of luck to all who apply!
