Tech startups with innovative solutions for the aerospace sector sought for upcoming Aerospace Xelerated programme...
Startup at the forefront of autonomy and AI? This is for you! The Aerospace Xelerated programme has opened its call for applications for innovative startups to solve key challenges for the aerospace sector - from the way aircraft are built right through to the passenger journey.
Previously known as the ATI Boeing Accelerator, this rebranded programme will be led by Boeing, with a host of other industry partners to be announced soon.
Since its launch in 2019, participating startups have raised a further £20M in funding, created 100+ jobs in addition to developing partnerships with a range of organisations including GKN Aerospace and Rolls-Royce.
For this third cohort, Aerospace Xelerated is specifically seeking startups working in these key areas:
-
Assured Autonomy - developing technologies assuring safe operation of autonomous flight functionality, including AI/ML function and developing assurance technologies including design-time techniques to provide evidence of system safety to certification authorities.
-
Autonomous Navigation - applying AI to autonomous navigation for unpiloted/unmanned/driverless environments.
-
Generative Design - applying AI to generative design to explore all possible permutations of a solution and generating design alternatives.
-
Smart Maintenance - where AI is applied to predictive analytics on maintenance data to develop smart maintenance solutions.
-
Adaptive Learning - applying AI to predictive and prescriptive analytics for training of learners based on their role and performance history.
-
Reduced Workload - flight automation technologies that reduce crew workload by automating routine flight tasks, excluding cognitive, physical, or onboard processing.
-
Novel Aerospace AI Applications - other innovative uses of AI being applied to aerospace applications.
Participating startups will receive £100k equity investment from Boeing in addition to over £100k in programme perks from partners including startup providers Google, Amazon, Stripe, Digital Ocean and more.
During the 12 week programme, startups will also have access to leading technical experts from industry, be introduced to a network of angels and venture capitalists and will receive mentoring from a global network of experienced entrepreneurs, mentors and investors.
Interested in applying?
Applications are now open and will close on 26th September 2021, with the programme itself set to run between January - March 2022. Best of luck to all who apply!
