Adsy.me, the new mobile WEB app that builds mobile WEB apps!

by Startacus Admin
Having only recently heard of Adsy.me, a mobile WEB app for creating mobile web apps we were admittedly initially intrigued. Building 15,000 registered users in the first 7 weeks is no mean feat, so we caught up with Frederick, one of the two co-founders to find out more about Adsy.me and how this early success had APPened to come about...
Hi there Frederick, Avoiding any overly technical terminology (or as much as possible!) that might confuse some of us, what exactly is Adsy.me and who is it for?
It’s a mobile WEB app to create mobile web apps. Nothing to download, it works in the browser, across all platforms: on iOS/android smartphones/tablets and on PC. It's for anyone who wants to create a cool mobile presence to share their passions, communicate knowledge or promote their business, the use cases are very broad, from the most casual to uber professional ones, adsy.me is what you make of it. Recent use cases range from a BBQ invitation in London to a NZ church promoting their activities...
How did you come up with the concept for Adsy.me and what problem are you trying to solve?
We want to enable anyone to create mobile apps in a snap, without any coding skills.
I had the idea because I was looking for such a product for my personal use, not being a coder ;-) I love creativity on the go!
You’ve already built up 15k registered users in the first 7 weeks, which is pretty fabulous, but in driving audience to Adsy what do you think has been the catalyst for building these numbers so early on?
Targeted press coverage & hustling in a smart way on social media, engaging in meaningful conversations with potential users.
What has been the biggest frustration - logistical or otherwise - since your initial launch?
Not having a team of 10 developers to roll out the features on our roadmap more quickly ;-)
Tell us about the Adsy.me team?
Two guys, Alex Petrisor, the lead developer & co-founder and myself, co-founder, responsible for the product development, PR & marketing.
You're a bootstrapped startup - how far do you feel you can go before gaining serious investment?
We will grow the user base to at least 500,000 registered users before attracting an external investment, if needed. If we can stay lean & generate enough revenues, we won't need any third-party investment.
Cheers for the thoughts Frederick!
