AccelerateME - The accelerator for students by students

by Startacus Admin

Current or recent students (up to 2-year alumni) at University of Manchester with businesses at ideas-stage & beyond take note - AccelerateME, a 12-week programme aimed at supporting 'student lead' early-stage startups get to the next level, closes for applications ASAP.
Run for students, by students, AccelerateME is a 12-week programme ran at the University of Manchester, via student society Manchester Entrepreneurs that aims to help early-stage startups get to the next level of growth.
Startup teams selected to go onto the programme receive a grant of up to £1,500, free office space, mentorship and access to business opportunities. The programme starts in February and is tailored to run alongside your studies or work schedule.
Set up in 2008 to create and educate a community of future business and society leaders Manchester Entrepreneurs has flourished and comprises a diverse group, being one of the largest student societies in the UK.
The AccelerateME programme has been running for 3 years and there are some very successful alumni to come out of it.
This year, one of the places on the programme will be given to a team with a good idea of a social-pairing or dating app. Their partner, M14 Industries, will create the app for you free of charge and provide you with necessary technical services for the duration of the programme. This means that there is no need of technical skill required on the team, just a drive to brand and bring the app to market.
Applications are open to current or recent University of Manchester students (up to 2-year alumni) with businesses at ideas-stage and beyond. So, whether you already have a startup, or simply have a fab business idea, check out the details on AccelerateME and if right for you, make that all important application.
Applications close on Friday 22nd of December 2017 so get your skates on.
