6 Quick and Easy Start-up Ideas for 2017

by Startacus Admin

The number of new businesses in the world continues to increase year-on-year, with UK start-ups experiencing a 4.6% increase in 2015.
With so many in existence and new ones emerging all the time, it can seem ever more challenging for anyone to break into popular markets. However, there are many straightforward startup ideas that anyone can create, with the new year being a great opportunity to get started.
Private Instructor
There are already loads of private lesson instructors in the world of music, sports and academic subjects. If you’ve got a talent and passion for something more unique than maths and dance, why not offer your services as a private instructor for them? It could be something simple like pet care lessons, to a less spoken language such as Mongolian. Either way, there’s unlikely to be much competition in that particular market.
Online Sales
The internet has made it accessible for pretty much anyone to form a business and begin making money across the world. It’s more straightforward than ever to set up a selling company online, by creating a website and social media pages to market and get your business’ name out there. There are thousands already in existence, but if you have a niche or specialised product then it can be fun and rewarding to turn it into a successful start-up business.

Forex Broker
Many forex brokers already exist, so it may not sound like the best idea for a start-up. However, gaps can be found in this market. If there’s only you in the start-up then it could be marketed as a more personal forex broker business. Or you could specialise in a more niche market, such as only dealing with certain minor currency pairs. All you really need is a computer with forex trading software to get started.
Editorial Services
This is a great option for someone who would like to set up a business from their own home, and need to have a good degree of flexibility in their work life. Some of the services that are always in high demand include; copywriting, copy editing, proofreading, research, and indexing.

Consultation
More and more people are finding that offering consultation services based on their particular skillset is a great way to become self-employed. People often don’t appreciate the value of their knowledge and experience can can be surprised to find people willing to pay considerable money for their advice and support. This consultancy work can be done on a freelance basis, leaving you with the flexibility to choose when you work.
Unique Dating Service
For something a bit different, why not start your own unique dating service? There has been a big rise in the number of dating apps and websites, which demonstrates a good market to start a business in. You will need a fresh idea, so why not create a dating service aimed at people with a specific interest? Dog lovers, snowboarders, it could be anything.
Think about these ideas and begin planning your new startup for 2017.
