3co - selling products through augmented reality

by Startacus Admin
3co - Selling through AR technology is a whole lot easier thanks to this innovative startupWe’ve probably all shopped online and found that the multitude of images of the product we’re interested in manage to miss the one angle we’d like to see it from. Better still would be if we could see it from any angle, close up, and placed within the space we would place it were we to buy it.
If a sofa, for example, had a photorealistic representation that you could place into your living room in augmented reality for you to see how well it would fit, wouldn’t you be far more likely to buy it?
Startup 3co found this to be the case when their previous startup, a plant delivery business, doubled their sales as a result of answering the consumer request to implement augmented reality versions of their plants. They heard the founder of Houzz announce an 11x increase in sales after beginning to utilise AR.
Their goal now, with 3co, is to provide an easy-to-use platform for businesses to scan their products to create the 3D models of their products and to also build, where necessary, the augmented reality app into which these will be implemented.
Of course, once you are up and running, you can see the difference this augmented reality showcase is making using the dashboard providing you data and insights.
3co is currently in the 2018 cohort of the Techstars accelerator and is raising its seed round funding. We think that the ability to view products in three-dimensional augmented reality will not be a novelty for long, but rather something that most retailers provide, and 3co will be at the forefront.
