startup weekendIs it really possible to launch a Startup in 54 hours? Well the guys behind Startup Weekend certainly seem to think so. Startup Weekends are weekend long events where entrepreneurs and would-be entrepreneurs get together and spend their time working out ideas and trying to create and build scalable companies. Connections are made, ideas discussed, products are built and Startups are formed.

Since they started in 2007, there have now been over 400 events held in over 200 cities worldwide. The global network of attendees all share the same thing - a passion for starting something new. Whether you go along with the intentions of starting a company, finding a Co-Founder, learning new skills, getting advice or simply meeting new people, there can be no denying that it’d be a weekend to remember. If you haven’t yet been to one, then maybe it’s time to change that.

With events planned in the next month in Belfast and London, there is still plenty of time to register your interest and get connecting and creating. Both events are being held over the weekend, 14th - 16th September with the London event being held at the Google Campus and the Belfast event at the Tank, Minds Way. So if you’re interested, you know what you’ve got to do...

If you can't make either of these events, the other option of course is to bring Startup Weekend to your own city. There are some basic guidelines and requirements that must be met if you're thinking this could be an option for you. More details can be found on the main Startup Weekend site.
