10 Music tracks to inspire your work day

by Startacus Admin
It’s hard to believe it’s that time of year again; time for the world’s most obscure and erroneous of celebrations…yes, Record Store day is upon us once again.
It hardly seems possible that a full twelve months have passed since we last didn’t know it was happening, but sure enough, tomorrow record stores all over the country will hang out the bunting and crank up the speakers to ring in this most special of days.
So what delights can one expect on ‘Record Store Day’? Will Richard Branson slide stealthily down the chimney and leave copies of ‘Abba Gold’ in your record player? mercifully no… well it’s unlikely at any rate.
To be serious for a moment, as silly as it may sound, Record Store Day is actually a rather significant day for the country because it marks the only time of year when independent record stores the length and breadth of Britain unite to celebrate music and the artists who create it.
You can find out more about what's happening tomorrow over on the Record Store Day website, but in honour of it, we have selected 10 musical tracks that we reckon form the perfect backdrop to your working-day, providing positive soul-boosting, toe-tapping good stuff.
- Don’t stop me now Queen
- Imagine John Lennon
- On Top of the World Imagine Dragons
- The Final Countdown Europe
- Tubthumping Chumbawamba
- Walking on Sunshine Katrina and the Waves
- Don’t Worry be Happy Bobby McFerrin
- Flight of the Valkyries Wagner (Not the one from the X Factor)
- What a Feeling Irene Cara
- Lose Yourself Eminem
We hope you all have a wonderful Record Store Day tomorrow, why not take the opportunity to pop in on your local independent record store and share in all the activities. You might also like to check out our sountrack to your startup journey.
