by Startacus Admin
December 2013
It's the month of December! Which means there are only 5 more 'self starters of the week' for 2013. Also, that means that there are only 5 more possible entries who can be in the hat for our Self Starter of the Year, with 1K's worth of consumer Market Research via our friends at Marketest to be won. The what you ask? Well here's a handy link with all the details. And so who's on the board for December? Well, here's who...

Self Starter of the Week - Paul Stewart
Why?
Well Paul Stewart has had a pretty good year. Unibaggage won Micro Business of the Year at the Smarta 100 Awards, and his business is the leading Student Shipping Company in the UK. But that's not entirely why Paul is a Startacus Self Starter of the Week. Paul started Unibaggage after having his 'big idea' at University. He started on his startup journey at that very point, when he decided to do something with that idea : a self starter ideal if ever there was one. Congrats Paul , you are the last Self Starter of the Week of 2013!

Self Starter of the Week - Dave Robertson
Why?
Well we reckon Dave Robertson's 'I am' profile speaks for itself really....
"I am ... Dave - the brain behind Forth Bridge Brewery - Scotland's first biomass powered brewery using spent grain (it's waste)!" Were not too sure on the science, but anyone who can develop the concept behind a biomass brewery deserves a little recognition don't you think!? Arise Dave Robertson!

Self Starter of the Week - Chris Macrae
Why?
You see, young Chris is a student of psychology at St Andrew's University and, not content with just working hard at his studies, he has hatched an ingenious little plan to make a bit of extra cash and flex his entrepreneurial muscles. His devilishly clever scheme is called Sponsor the Shirt and will give businesses a unique opportunity to get valuable advertising wherever he goes for an entire year!
